Virgin a Day ~ Day 6

I saw this painting in another post this weekend.  You can read the whole article here, as it is in a Catholic publication, and I realize not everyone is interested in that.  Although the story of how the painting came to be is quite interesting.

Morgan Weistling "Kissing the Face of God"

There are plenty more Virgins to be seen at  recuerda mi corazon, where the rest of the gang is posting their images of Mary.  Stop in, you will be happy you did.

  1. I love this. I see all of humankind as a representation of God, In His Image. All women are Mary. I felt this right away when coming here. Happy Day 6.

    Peace

  5. This is what I would envision as how it really looked. It is such a 'human' rendition of the Madonna and child. And, so very loving and tender. Mary was quite young when she had Jesus. I call this, perfection!
I'm off to read about the image now. Thanks!
